Italian Techno Queen Deborah De Luca Preparing to Conquer Sea Star Festival This May

Deborah De Luca shines as one of the global electronic-music scene’s brightest stars. Charting her path through a series of career shifts and varied roles, she has gradually, independently, and autonomously carved her niche. The uncompromising Deborah, founder of Solamente Records, presents her fresh and innovative music by blending melodic global hits with hard-hitting techno beats. Steadily climbing to the pinnacle of the world’s club scene over several years, she has announced her new album, “Hard Pop,” for May 2024.

Leading the lineup at the sixth edition of the Sea Star Festival, Deborah De Luca takes center stage. From May 23 to 26, in the magical Stella Maris lagoon in Umag, she will be joined on the Tesla Main Stage by Ofenbach, John Newman (Hybrid DJ set), INIKO, Hot Since 82, ARTBAT, Ian Asher, Joker Out, and Buč Kesidi.

Deborah De Luca, a true testament to the power of passion and perseverance, was born in 1980 in Naples. Her journey to becoming a renowned DJ and producer was not a straight path. Initially, she ventured to northern Italy to pursue a career in fashion, but the allure of the local nightlife quickly drew her in. Returning to Naples, she worked her way up from a waitress to a dancer in nightclubs before finding her true calling behind the DJ booth. Along this transformative journey, DJ and producer Giuseppe Cennamo played a pivotal role in shaping her understanding of new music genres and trends.

Fierce and unyielding, refusing to conform to any terms or deadlines, Deborah De Luca founded her own label, Solamente Records, in March 2013, ensuring her independence and authenticity. Moreover, the label was established with the mission to release high-quality techno and electronic music, so it has featured fresh talents like Mario Grisoldi, Vilko, and MRPHN.

Over the years, Deborah has honed her style with a solid foundation in techno and deep house, skillfully blending it with melodic and minimalist elements. She strives to produce cleaner and more melodious tracks in studio recordings, while live sets see her tuning into the audience’s reaction, often veering towards a heavier techno style to electrify the dance floor. After a decade in the music scene and numerous EPs, including hits like “Nina” and “Maybe I’m Wrong,” Deborah released her debut album “Ten” in 2018. The “Queen of Naples,” as she’s affectionately known, followed up with a highly anticipated second studio LP, “She Sleeps,” in 2020 and has now announced her third studio album, “Hard Pop,” for May 2024.

Deborah’s releases have showcased her boundless creativity, winning acclaim from critics and audiences alike. This May, she will bring her captivating charisma, electrifying energy, and magical DJ set to the Stella Maris lagoon, kicking off the summer with the Sea Star Festival audience.

Alongside Deborah De Luca, the Tesla Main Stage in Umag will host a constellation of global and regional stars, with confirmed performances by Ofenbach, John Newman (Hybrid DJ set), INIKO, Hot Since 82, ARTBAT, Ian Asher, Joker Out, and Buč Kesidi.
