After delighting tens of thousands of fans on the main stages of this year’s Exit and Sea Dance, one of today’s hottest pop stars, a hitmaker with Croatian roots whose singles have more than half a billion downloads on video and streaming services — DJ Topic — arrives at Sea Star! This incredibly talented author will deliver his premiere performance in Croatia alongside Cypress Hill, Meduza, Amelie Lens, Dubioza Kolektiv, and numerous other stars who will take the stage in the Stella Maris lagoon in Umag on 27th and 28th May 2022.
Tobias Topic has made a name for himself among commercial house producers making up the scene’s present and bright future. His success has been reflected in more than half a billion views and downloads of his singles on video and streaming services. After releasing his debut album “Miles” in 2015, Topic began a series of dance anthems produced through collaborations with numerous musicians. The platinum hit “Breaking Me” was made in partnership with the Swedish artist A7S, who, along with ATB, also worked on “Your Love”, while Topic worked with Nico Santos on “Home”. This year, the young producer hasn’t moved from the top of the charts. The charts were topped by “Chain My Heart” featuring the American singer Bebe Rexha, “Drive” which Topic made with the British electro-pop band Clean Bandit, and finally “My Heart Goes (La Di Da)” featuring Becky Hill, which still has an essential place on the playlists of all commercial radios in the region, and was once the #1 trending video on YouTube! This mega-talented producer and DJ describes his style as dance music with lyrics that carry the emotions of ballads and beats that make you dance.
DJ Topic is an excellent addition to an already stellar Sea Star line-up, featuring one of the greatest hip-hop groups in history, Cypress Hill, techno superstar Amelie Lens and the biggest band in the region, Dubioza Kolektiv. Topic will be another addition to the commercial dance programme of the festival, alongside the Italian trio, Meduza. The highly successful Italian group has become one the biggest house-pop acts on the planet in the past two festival seasons, recently releasing a new single, “Tell It To My Heart,” featuring Hozier. The strongest Sea Star so far will also feature performances by Slovenian electronic virtuoso, Umek, the biggest rapper in the region Vojko V, as well as Kuku$, Buč Kesidi, Farrago, Tijana T, Insolate, Buntai, Marcel, Andrea Ljekaj, Bronski, DJ Gumja and Rasheed. More artists will be announced in the coming months.
The fourth edition of Sea Star, winner of the “Ambassador” Music Award for Best New Festival and nominee for Best Medium-Sized Festival at the European Festival Awards, arrives in Umag’s Stella Maris Lagoon on 27th and 28th May 2022. The traditional Welcome Party will take place on the 26th, and the Closing Party will be held on the 29th.
